TEMEA
Test specification technology and -method for automotive embedded real-time systems
Testing software is one of the most important part when developing automotive electronic control units (ECU). 40 - 80 % of the development costs fall upon testing. However, there is no integrative standardized test method, used by OEMs and suppliers of single components.
The project aims to develop an integrative test technology based on the language TTCN-3 (Testing and Test Control Notation) which makes reusing and exchanging of test artefacts possible. The special requirements of real-time and continuous behaviour of automotive embedded systems are in the focus of the project.
Besides IT Power Consultants the Fraunhofer institutes FOKUS and FIRST and the companies Testing Technologies IST GmbH, Fourth Project GmbH and the University Göttingen engage in TEMEA.
The project is financially supported by the Berliner Senat für Wirtschaft, Technologie und Frauen.
Project duration:
January 2008 to June 2010
